In July 2020 Morley College London reached out to us asking if we could brighten up an unused, unloved outdoor space that was barely a garden.
A vision was set out but it was an ambitious vision given the resources & the time we had to complete.
Students, staff & local community members worked relentlessly every Tuesday & Wednesday morning for the past 5 weeks to get this garden to be the paradise it is.
Late August 2020 it was an absolute honour officially opening Morley Heart Gardens
With special thanks to Carrie Reichardt who did the beautiful mosaic signs & quotes, Goldfinger Factory who built bespoke wooden benches, Rob Olins who built the amazing heart trellis & The Black Gardener who helped design the garden.
The garden now spews creativity, love & warmth – creating a legacy to remember those lost & affected by Grenfell whilst also giving students & staff an outdoor nature space of peace, tranquility & serenity.
